Used 99E found in .308

Walked into my local dealer who sells a lot of consignments and just buys to resell if he likes something. And came across a 99E lever in .308. Looked different than the Western styles. Even thought about a BLR years ago. Did my research on the 99E with no round counter. And still thought $300 for the Gun , case, cleaning kit and a Banner 2 scope was a nice deal for this used gun with some scuffing on the stocks. Must have been adult owned, the metal was taken care of without stock saturation.

What do you all think a 99E is worth as decribed in fine condition? Good+ or Fine- condition.

I did buy it. A working .308 lever for $300 seamed like a no brainer.

I highly doubt you'll lose money on it at that price. The 99E's (economy) aren't very desireable by collectors so their prices have stayed pretty reasonable, but most I've seen still sell in the $400-450 range unless they've really been abused.
