Anybody try it? Read a lot of reviews for other rounds, but none for the 30-30. My 99 copper fouls and if I can get good velocities, accuracy and reduce the need to break out the Sweets 7.62...

Yup. Got load data. Was looking for some personal experience.

Took her to the range. A Sierra 150 ( OAL 2.55) over 35 gr of CFE223. Velocity 2306 fps. Difference between high/ low shot was 42 fps. 10 shots went into 1 9/16 at 50. This rifle has open sights. Once I get the aperture...
Anyway. The consistency of group size is outstanding. 3 round groups were 1 3/16. Not the most accurate load, but its a very bright day, but more than acceptable.
Powder fouling seemed less than LVR, but is a bit more difficult to remove. Cases shot modest neck sooting, so I suspect pressures are low( ish)
Copper. This barrel fouls badly, but gives it up easily. Prior to shooting her, I gave her a good cleaning with Sweets 7.62 and a good dose of JB bore paste. After cleaning today I have to say that copper seems about 1/3rd of what it was previously. I've read that this powder gives its full effect after a hundred rounds or so. So far I'm impressed.
My velocity goal is to match factory advertised velocity. Hope I can safely get there with this powder.

Use some foam bore cleaner, it will remove all the copper and carbon without scrubbing.

Below a 1943 No.4 .303 British Enfield rifle with a frosted bore from corrosive primers and one application of foam bore cleaner. I collected milsurp rifles and many of them had pitted and frosted bores that would "eat" copper bore brushes. And the foam bore cleaners would remove all the copper without scrubbing.

Below a AR15 barrel using foam bore cleaner and one shot of foam. You can see that atomized copper was even on the flash suppressor and the foam removed it.

Below a patch showing copper and carbon removed with one shot of foam from the AR15.

Cool stuff! Will try it. Over cleaning is as bad as not cleaning. Sometimes.

Tried it today. Velocity averages 2230 fps (37 grains) with 22 fps difference between high/ low shots.
Accuracy is excellent. 3 rounders at 50 yards ( open sights) went from 9/16 to 3/4 inch. Barrel heat was mild, but recoil was a little snappy. This Model 99 is kinda light.
This is proving to be an excellent powder in the 30-30. Glad I tried it.

your loads are fairly consistent with Ammoguide (http://ammoguide.com/?catid=95)

Also, Hodgdon has data: https://u5125847.ct.sendgrid.net/wf/click?upn=m2KwUEuN5guvmDQojcXhZhZXw8R9P0xwVNj-2By8Sg3kKsYkboVPWFnYC5b31RElXUGdzr0oU9jWBsVzvGcymK V0lbZoM8gnUlsdeL7HbPLQmIQp3M3cK5BEUewkBjGhWF6hA59Q GBnk50wAk-2F-2FgBYtvtD-2FmRnpv9sY17PxIx9AxJrfJ1RrA7zc0BMKzl7Qlnw_QgCHEZF9 BW9N5GoE7tHV2LFTmFAsCjKr1wgJTUvKlaIT5Kuyh7-2B7oU2Z-2BacDqzFYi9k74mptL8flbF1cEQHWDqGKxd78PmguUywFwd8tk fGQu7hL2DGUq8xrNAHlLLr7ycSg4ZNjWDBQsXDMArVPr-2Byi8v15CDyO7DtDGVkI3EQ-2BO-2BInxUGUrjzbNxVLkDQwLbi4PA0GiJtNgbsC225whGkKnkTKYF Sx7CF-2FtiDw-2FJk-3D
