I was wondering if anyone has experimented much with IMR 4064 powder in the 6.5 CM or a .260 Remington. I have 1 of each rifle and both love a charge of 38.5 grains of 4064 under a Hornady 123 SST bullet. I am getting .350 3 shot groups with pencil barrel Savage 11 and Axis II. Close to max loads that I can find and no pressure signs yet.

38.0gr of Varget worked really well in a Savage 11 I set up for my friend's wife. She was shooting 120gr Amax and center punched a little Coues deer at over 700 yards. I also watched her smoke a mud hen off a water hole at over 400 yards. That little rifle shoots. Sounds like yours does as well.

700yd kill with a 120grit 260 huh? Cool.

Yep! worked fantastic. Full Penetration and quarter sized exit hole. Couldn't ask for better performance.
