I am looking for a set of 1915 hammerless grips. I am told the 1907 grips which look similar will not fit the 1915 hammerless model. What is the difference? Can the 1907 grips be modified to fit?

A set of original grips in good shape are going to be hard to find for that model pistol. I'm not sure what sort of condition your grips are in but I assume you've got a cracked one or maybe they both are. As far as I know there were no differences in the grips between the 1907 model and 1915, I would venture to say a set of reproduction grips might work on that 1915. I've not had any encounters with the reproduction grips but I have seen where an individual purchased a set recently and they slid into place but did not snap in properly, they contacted NC ordinance who manufactured the reproduction grips and they claim that there was a manufacturing issue with a grips. I suspect there were variances and differences in the way the grooves were cut in the frames of the pistols thus the tab on the grip panel probably wasn't extended far enough to lock into place. The individual who purchased the grip panels we're going to add some PVC plastic material to the tabs to give them a little more depth so that they would lock into place. For $25 for a pair I think I would take a chance on it you make whatever modifications I needed to to make them work.
