hey all i have a 6.5 creedmore with a bushnell exteme hd 2.5-10x44 my question is will this be able to shoot out to 800-1000 yards or is it lacking in adjustment
if so would a 20 moa rail help

Yes it will work, just keep in mind that a 10” Im not sure how much vertical travel your scope model has but a 20moa rail is probably needed otherwise you would have to use the reticle for a vertical hold.

My long range instructor stated that a minimum of 10x would be required to reach 1000yd consistently in his class. At the range later that day I was able to reach 1200yd with 12x. Everyone else had 24x scopes.

A 10 power greatly reduces the impact of mirage, both from the barrel and the range over a 18 plus power scope.. The disadvantage is resolution. A more powerful scope magnifies not only the sight picture but the quality of components in the optic.

I would definitely recommend a 20 MOA rail with that scope for that distance. Factory spec's list 50" of adjustment at 100 yards for your scope, which equates to 25 up and 25 down from mechanical center. You're looking at around 28 MOA of drop @ 1,000 yards from a 200yd zero, so that would put the scope close to optical center when shooting at 1k.
