MSR10 Aftermarket Charging Handle?

Anyone know of an aftermarket charging hamdle that will fit the MSR10 Hunter?

I would question that. Savage's MSR10 platform isn't the same as an Armalite or DPMS AR10 platform. IIRC Savage shortened up their receiver set 1/2" or so to make it more compact and shave some weight. In other words, I'm pretty sure some of their parts are proprietary and since the charging handle is dependant on receiver length it would fall into that category.

Unfortunately, the Badger tac latch doesn't fit the factory handle either.... roll pin is bigger on the MSR and its shaped differently with a detent for the spring.

Strangely that doesn't surprise me. I often think the engineers at Savage change things for no other reason than to try and justify their paychecks. Can never leave something that works as it should alone, yet at the same time can't be bothered to address/fix the things that actually need fixed.

Just like GI handle, it’s sub-par. Tiny latch that you can’t grab well with gloves on if you have a large optic mounted.

I did get a badger latch to work but had to ream the pin hole.

Will this charging handle work? I am finding AR15 parts are fitting on my MSR 10 rather then AR10 parts:

I noticed this bump being a lot closer to the tip than some of the others that are more toward the middle. Also a tad bit shorter.
