I'm wanting to replace the accustock on my rifle with a McMillan A3 or A5 style stock but I'm having trouble finding short action 110 stocks. I believe the action length is 4.4", is the 110 compatible with other 10/11/12 series short action stocks? My rifle is a bottom bolt release as well.

110 designates a long action... 10 designates short action. 10/11/12 are compatible... 110/111/112 are compatible. The recoil lug for the accustock, is different then a standard lug.

Is this a short action 110 with the new number designations?

That might explain my confusion. I was assuming mine was a short action

It may be, not sure. It's Item no 57021S

I was unaware that there had been a change to the designations.... I may be completely wrong in my statement above. Figures I guess, Savage just has to change something.

I see a reference here about the 6.5 Creedmoor in the long range hunter... its number is 57021. So apparently Savage is now designating based off caliber, and all actions are 110...? Interesting!!

I wonder if the actions are all "LONG ACTIONS" now whether it's a short action cartridge or a long actions cartridge? Kind of like they did with the Axis line.

MSOB,

You may have a short action it appears.. What caliber is your rifle?

It's a 6.5 Creedmore

6.5 Creed is a short action cartridge for sure. They look pretty darn nice... Think I'd shoot it as is for now.

Wish i could help you with the A5 stock question, but without knowing anything about the new line and what they did or didn't change about the actions... I don't want to give you bad info.

Measure the screw spacing in the action. That should say for sure what it is.

all new 10/110's are called 110's now from the factory. However, they did not change the actions. If it's a short action cartridge, consider it a model 10.

therefore, look for model 10, short action, bottom bolt release.

Right on Foxx.... Thanks for clearing that up.
