I have been around guns and shooting for since I was a kid, now 65. I have many handguns and long guns but this is my first Savage purchase. I hunt and I am very involved in competitive handgun shooting sports, mostly SCSA and other speed shooting activities. I am retired now but still busy with a hobby of making speed loaders for .22 caliber revolvers.

This forum looks good but there is not very many replies to posts.
Sorry.
Among currently active members, you may very well be the most knowledgeable of the subjects you are posting about. After looking at your other posts, I am impressed with your work and ideas. I can't comment beyond that, though, because I know absolutely nothing about those particular models. :(

Foxx, thanks for the reply. I didn't know if posting modifications to a new Savage gun was offending someone here or at Savage, I don't know if this is a users forum or a Savage company forum. Anyways, I'm sure I will find a lot of useful information here.
Oh, HECK NO!!!! You are not offending anyone. This is definitely NOT a corporate forum. We are all completely independent of Savage. A lot of experience here. A lot of tinkerers and modifiers, for sure.
Thanks for your posts.

Welcome.
Sometimes It may take a while for a response but it most likely wont be a keyboard commando response when you get it.
That's been my experience anyway. Some really knowledgeable folks around though and a few skilled brains to pick.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
