Can somebody enlighten me on recommendations on where to put the 3 position pin on the pivot point?. All the other ones I have are in the middle position set around 14 oz. What is the theory on the 3 different holes other than to confuse me? The instructions aren't real clear on its purpose.

Go to Rifle Basix web site, they have a instruction video.

On the first try with the pivot pin in the middle and whatever spring settings they used the trigger pull is like 4.5 lb's. At 16:48 you see that they have moved the pivot to the front hole and discuss the mechanical advantage. Watch and see what happens.

The ones I have tunned are all in the front hole

I had some issues with my first go-round installing the Sav2 on my 10GRS, but I gave Rifle Basix a call and all became clear. It is a fiddley thing by nature, but after going through the adjustments a few times I got a nice trigger pull that is very acceptable for bench shooting, which is what I was trying to get. If I was going to run an obstacle course or toss the gun around loaded, I'd most likely turn the sear engagement up a little bit.

I will say that it made a difference having the rifle back in the stock for final checks. The trigger characteristics seemed to change when going back into the stock, so you have to verify your work with the rifle assembled.

I found it easier to get it down to a reliable 5 oz. using the front hole.
