Need some quick advice if this will work

Sorry for the short notice, but I may be picking up a rifle tonight if the answers are correct.

I'm going to be building a 6mm BR and have the opportunity to pick up a Savage rifle model 111 in 270 (long action) for $237. Can I use this action for the build? I guess with a long action I also have a greater selection of calibers?

Does this have the accutrigger? Does it take a large shank barrel? does that matter?

That action would work for the build - be aware that it probably will be a single shot (that 6BR won't feed from the long mag - especially if it is a stagger feed).

Accutrigger - can't tell without seeing it or knowing when it was made.

Eric is correct, I built my 6mm BR on a long action and eliminated the mag box replacing it with a single shot follower I epoxied in place.
