I have an older LRPV in 204R. I bought this rife I think about 10 yrs ago? I noticed one in the shop the other day with a red blade trigger. When checking it out it seemed far better then the one in my M12. Have they changed the trigger on this model? Mine is "OK" , but nowhere near as light as I like it. Is there an upgrade that won't cost me a fortune?

The red blade is on, and from what I understand, only available on the target models. It means the trigger is very light and intended for target use only, not safe for a hunting rifle.

While Savage may call it a varmint hunting rifle at 11lbs stripped this is my bench rifle. I would love it to have a 1lb trigger. Suggestions?
