Greetings all, I was looking at the FCP-SR's and was wondering how much weight savings there actually is on one of the fluted barrels? Has anyone weighed both back to back?
For reference I have a stripped 24" heavy non-fluted (0.82~ diameter end, so not varmint contour) at 4lb 3oz or 1.9kg.
Also does anyone have a measured weight of the 20" FCP-SR? The published weight is heavier than I expected. At 8.75lb or 3.97kg that is almost a full pound heavier than the R700 LTR.
For reference I measured an LTR with 10x scope, aluminum base/rings, no sling at 8lb 15oz or 4.05kg.
