They aren’t kidding when they say that little spring might go flying when taking apart the trigger assembly. Thought I had it secured but it still managed to fly off into the nether regions of my garage, never to be see again.
So, I need one by the end of next week. Anyone know the quickest and preferably reasonably priced way to get one in Oregon?

A ballpoint pen spring works.

Or go to the hardware store and find one similar.

I don’t see too many springs that look like this:

Maybe that’s not the sear spring. Is it called something else? It’s on a 12Fv. Looks like that. Think it might be for the top bolt release.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I think you are correct calling it a sear spring. The sear pin slides through it.
Have you gave up on trying to find your spring?
Maybe try using a magnet?
I have found more than one dropped part using a magnet. Amazing how I can't see it, but magnet will get it.
Obviously not a ball point pen spring, good luck!
Your first mistake was asking someone on the internet. That is the sear spring and Numrich gun parts or Midway USA sometimes have them in stock. If not call Savage and sign a waiver and get it through them.
