Model 19 NRA question

What are your all's thoughts on using high velocity ammo in a 19? I have my father in laws 19NRA and want to shoot it but have little standard velocity ammo on hand. What are your thoughts?

I found that most of my old .22 don't like or sometimes even function with HV ammo. There's plenty of SV ammo out there, just go find some! CCI is good stuff.

1919 NRA or a 1922 I'd probably shoot sub sonic but my 19-33 I shoot high velocity all the time in it, depends on what model you have.
