Good morning to all!! Rainy day is South Louisiana with a weather front coming . Need advice on a savage model 11 rifle:
Purchased a Model 11 DOA Trophy XP in 338 Federal has bottom bolt release, 4.386" between action screw & has a sporter barrel. The stock is absolutely a POS.
May have found an Accustock that has a sporter barrel channel & 4.40. What parts do I need to purchase to get my rifle going.
Thanks

Welcome.

I'll defer to those familiar with the AccuStock (I think you need a new magazine and "bottom metal" to support it) but also mention that the plastic abomination does a great job of being very light, something to hold the action, and keeping the scope from smacking you. It does everything a stock should . . . except look good. Mine has grown on me. Better looking than a lot of "black rifles" are. ;-)

Plus if I ever slide down a creek embankment and drop the rifle on the rocks I won't shed many tears at added scrapes and scratches.

Thanks for the reply!! Still looking at a Hogue full bedded stock & Possibly a Bell & Carlson. Only concern about the B&C is the barrel channel.
