Was planning on building a 28 nosler from a 111 LRH in 300wm. But I was hoping Savage was going to introduce a factory rifle chambered in 28 nosler. I can't find any info if they did or not. Does anyone know?

Nope, but they are offering the 110 Hunter w/AccuFit in .280 Ackley Improved this year (SKU# 57145).

It might be a little cheaper to shoot the 7mm Practical (300 win mag necked down to 7mm) yet you should get the same ballistic performance.

the shorter case of the 28 nosler allows it to shine with the super bc projectiles like the 195 Berger EOL and 197 SMK (.754 and .780g1 bc's) its about the most performance you can squeeze out of a standard long action (mag fed at least).

now with the big 30's (norma mag, ultra mag) the new 230 smk with it's .800g1 bc might tip the scales but the norma is on the lapua action and the ultramag won't fit in a mag with them seated out like they should.

I put an X-caliber 28 nosler barrel on my savage 116. It shoots very well, I do wish for more magazine length so I could seat it out of the case a bit more. Other than that one issue I am rather pleased with the cartridge and it is a hammer on elk. Good luck!
