Anybody using folding stock adapter?

Are there any pros and cons for using folding stock adapter on precision rifle stock?

Thanks for your info..

A folding stock adapter is only as good as the joint it creates on a precision rifle. If it has play in it, you will likely find inconsistency down range. I had this issue with an XLR folder. I knew the rifle was accurate, but I had a very hard time being consistent all the time due to the play in the folder. I also had the XLR adapter fail and required them to send me a new piece. Great customer service from XLR though. However, I would only use a folding stock these days if it consistently locks up nice and tight with very minimal play if any at all.

Folders like the AI Chassis, KRG Whiskey 3, Mcree, and Manners all seem to fair very well. I'm interested in the new one from MDT and the new Magpul 700 pro chassis only to inspect how rigid they are. I use a solid stock for all my personal rifles currently, but would like a reliable folder at some point for some ruck matches down the road.

To note I am very hard on equipment. A rifle will easily see 3k-5k rounds in a year and travel to numerous matches and shooting locations and whatever weather is going on at the time. I only use and recommend gear that I or others that shoot in the same manner have developed trust in.

The new one they released at SHOT gets rid of the massive joint on the side and it folds to the right vice the left making the rifle 2-3" narrower for better storage.
