Thought Id share... So I have a MSR10 Longrange chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have mounted the Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-2C. So far I’m a happy camper but, I mounted the scope with medium rings, they are too low and I need to raise it a bit to get a good cheek weld. I got it hitting paper at 100yards with some factory ammo but, nothing to rave about. This was part of the break in but, I hand loaded 50 rounds in FC brass, 42 gns of RL17 and topped with the Sierra 130 TMK and continued the break in. Below is the last 5 round shot group. Temp was about 16 degrees.

I used RL-17 when I had a 6.5CM. works great. BUT, it is temperature sensitive! You don't want to use that load in the summer. RL-16 was supposed to replace RL-17 and not be temperature sensitive. I sold that rifle before trying RL-16 but heard its real good. BTW, get away from photobucket. Find another place to store your photos for posting on forums. I moved to https://postimages.org/

They got greedy!!!! Pulled the plug and now charge an enormous amount of money to host pictures.

I believe I’ll switch. And, I pulled the bullets from the remaining hand loads with the42 grains of RL 17. That was pretty hot.

Thanks,

Mark

Don’t get me wrong on RL-17. Works awesome. But since it’s temp sensitive you want to to load development in the summer. It’s a good alternative when you can’t find other powders. RL-16 was supposed to be not temp sensitive. Didn’t get a chance to try it when I had my 6.5cm.
