Hopefully someone can help me out here. I,m building an older 110 30-06 ( pre 99)into a custom 300 win mag however I’m having a problem finding a magnum bolt head for the large firing pin bolt. Any suggestions, I,d prefer to keep the large firing pin. Thanks

I got mine from PTG, but to get the correct bolt head, you'll have to send your current bolt head to them and have them copy it in Magnum configuration.

It would be cheaper to have a gunsmith (or a competent machinist) to open up your bolt face. Simple, fast and cheap(er)

At $94.50 for a new bolt head, not worth taking to a gunsmith.

Thanks for the replies, I got it in my head I could make this work. I ended up drilling out the firing pin bore and then used a carbide cutter to cut the slot for the tang inside the bolt body. Turned out great and a good sense of accomplishment.
