just saw this barrel for sale. wonder if the owner though it didn't shoot too well with a loose scope base?

looks like he at least backed the screw out before trying to remove the barrel.

i just took 2 boston butts out of the smoker but you will have to come get it.

the real reason i started this thread was hoping to save someone from making that mistake.

you can't really get the scope.base tight, you bugger up the threads on the barrel and you would have one hell of a time removing that barrel

I think I need to check my front scope rail screw.

This is one of those little pitfalls that's good to know, thanks.
