Bolt change out help?

I have a BVVS in 300 WSM. I'm going to change the barrel out with a .260 Rem barrel. Both are large shank. My current bolt is a CRF with a 1/2" head. I have the parts to change a short action push feed to .308 size cartridge. But it is 7/16" head. If I put those parts on my current bolt assemble and remove the CRF extractor piece from the action. Will it work? I am wondering if the firing pin is different also. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

That should work fine. Just remember to check your firing pin protrusion.

Thanks but I think I'lll keep the action. I have 3 wsm actions. The other 2 are 7mm. One is a stock Weather Warrior the other is custom with a Match Barrel. It's an awesome cartridge. Can anyone tell me if Savage can supply a stagger feed box and follower?
