View Full Version : Savage GRS scope mount suggestions

Looking for info on bases and rings for Savage GRS. As you know this rifle has a picatinny rail. The scope is a Bushnell DMR with 50 mm objective. Who knows or has experience for the best low profile set-up?

Welcome to the forum Jon.

I use two piece bases from Warne, Weaver or Burris and Warne Maxima rings. The two piece bases are a little lower than full length rails. And, the Warne low 30mm rings will put a 50mm objective just a hair over a varmint profile barrel. There's no room for scope caps.

But your scope is a couple inches shorter and has a 34mm tube. Check your mounting length. If you have 5-1/2 to 6 inches, these are made from steel and will offer some mounting versatility, but the bell of your scope is going to be very close to your barrel nut:
