I'm wanting to have the most versatile combination of caliber options possible. I'm considering the .338 Lapua, mainly because it's the largest, most powerful option in that model. Being a long action, I'm hoping to be able to re-barrel to various, more economical cartridges. I'm hoping to be able to swap the appropriate bolt faces, magazines, barrels, etc. to use .300 Win Mag, 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmore and even .223/5.56mm. I realize most of these calibers are considered for "short" actions, but is there still compatibility? Is it possible to re-barrel/assemble these other calibers using the .338 Lapua 110 BA Stealth as the base action/foundation? Any help or experience in caliber changes with the new Stealth model 110 would be greatly appreciated. I'm also open to other ideas using older model 110's to do the same thing.... Just want to ring some steel at a mile some day.... call it a bucket list thing! Thanks for listening and hope to meet and lot of cool folks and learn lots!:laser:

As far as barrels go any large shank barrel will work with the appropriate bolt face.

Now the 338 uses the cip length magazines. i believe they will work with other magnums but finding a magazine to work for a 223 or even a 308 may be a challenge

I have a 338LM FCP. Has a single stack magazine. Would think there wouldn't be an issue there. Long action 308 or 6.5CM would allow to load long if your a reloader. Not sure if the 6.5CM would benefit though.

im thinking the only bbl's your going to find in large shank are 338 lapua & maybe 300 ultramag, but i may be wrong. best of luck with your project.
