I'm new to Savage rifles and have been reading all the old threads. One of the cartridges I am particularly interested in is the .270 WSM. I've seen a few threads here about apparent high pressure signs with some factory ammo.
In the October 2017 issue of Handloader Magazine (issue #310), someone wrote in with the same symptoms. He had slugged his barrel and the groove diameter was .2745".
Has anyone here that has experienced pressure signs in .270 WSM Savage rifles slugged the barrels and found them to be "tight"? If so, is it only a single previous run of barrels or if I order a new .270 WSM now, will I find the same thing?
