Model 12 benchrest into 12 Palma stock.

Hi Guys.
I'm new to this post. I have question regarding me buying a Savage 12 benchrest in 6.5 x 284 and replacing the benchrest stock with the model 12 Palma stock is this possible. I will be competing. And also about tuning the screw closest to the trigger guard.

I think the Benchrest screw spacing is 4.40" and I'm sure the Palma screw spacing is 3.44" so you will just need to confirm that your action has the 3.44" spacing before you switch.
