I managed to get my hands on a new 12 FV in 6.5 Creedmoor and I have to say, hats off to Cabelas for putting the most wanted options on this rifle at a fantastic price. Top bolt release, metal trigger guard, jeweled bolt, large bolt handle and a nice matte finish. I've only got about 25 rounds through it so far and doing load work up on it. Groups are running right around 1/2" for 5 shots. I also got approved for my rebate. I can hardly believe the value in these rifles for the price even with the POC stocks. $250.00 total after rebate. Amazing

I was looking at those...I got the 10fcp-sr in 6.5 CM...after rebate was 349.99 with free shopping and no tax off the web. Already got my rebate card. Almost got a 10T-SR when they were on sale. I considered the 12FV, but it was going to take another $150 to thread the barrel...still a good deal. What bullets and powder are you using ?

I’m using SMK 142’s and H4350 with FGM210M primers. It has worked well in all 4 of my Creedmoor’s.

I have a mess of Hornady 140 gr ELD I plan to use. Been trying to lay my hands on some H4350. May have to splurge on a 8lb jug when I can find one plus hazmat fees.

Nice I just picked up one also from cabelas today...On black Friday for a few hours I believe, they had them going for $319 so I backordered one and got it today..Not bad for them saying they had over 500 of these cabelas exclusives on backorder...Well anyways ill tryout some of those 140 grainers and see how they do...

I just bought one as well. Pretty amazing value. I mounted a seekins 20 moa precision rail on it and the new nikon black x1000 scope.

Next I'll be putting it in a stock. Possibly a bell and carlson medalist style 5, but i haven't made up my mind yet.

Congrats to all... Loving my 12FV in a 22-250Rem....So accurate....Thinking of a BC stock or a pro Varmint Boyd's....Not sure....I don't reload, but Hornady V-Max are tight...

My B&C on my 12FV in .223 fits like a freaking glove. No real need to bed it, although I did do the front lug. It's my fav over the Boyd's, but they do cost more.

Yeah. The stock cost more than the rifle. I’m going to shoot mine as it is for a while. Just using it for paper punching anyway. The groups I’m getting are with a 14X scope. I have a 6-24 Sightron I’m going to try on it and see if it will tighten my groups up some.

All of you guys who have the 12 FV and want to put an aftermarket stock on it for a decent price, might want to look at the Bobby Hart LRT (Pro Varmint comparable) My brother put one on his 22-250 and it turned into a 10 shot one hole shooter @ 100 yards. I think it's better than the Boyd's Pro Varmint but it's just my opinion.

Choose model 10 (it's the same as 12)

i cant say enough good things about the model 12FV i own 2 of them. 1 in 223, and 1 in 308, they are both 5 shot 1/2 moa guns w/ vortex viper 6.5 -20 scopes on both. now im thinking about picking up one in 6.5 creedmore, then ill see how that one works out, my guess is it will shoot the same.

Same here Dave....give it serious thoughts in a 6.5CM.....No desire to build a AR15, always a Rem Model 700 guy, have three....but, this is my second savage and it kicks A$$.....From the feedback alone here says solid shooters....Congrats on another FV....

Drink the 6.5 cool aid and you will be hooked. I’ve got a 700P in my safe and it gets wiped off occasionally. Don’t care for the recoil.

22-250 in the Bobby Hart. Twisted the barrel off, put a new lug on it, bedded it. 69 gr SMK lit by CFE223 @ 200' ASL today at 19°, five shots. Going to stretch it out and see if it really does like these heavies or if it's just stable enough at 100 yards.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171215/be9c29921d67459cd84163ce47b96746.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171215/02a27021d16251e3411060f97c36448e.jpg

Nice. How was the fit? Picked one up on black friday and still haven't shot it yet. Going round and round on stock options. Thinking about trying to get the savage dbm parts and doing the bc m40. Savage won't return my emails. Try calling next week. If I stay with the blind mag I'll look at these. What's the weight on the stock?

What's the weight on the stock? So I had to open up the barrel channel a small amount, took about an hour and a half going very slow, lots of back and forth with the rifle going in and out. For body fit, it's great. Only thing I could see is for normal sized hands the palm swell might be a bit on the large size. LOP is great.

What are you torquing the action screws to? I really like the color of that stock. It looks like it is rounded up to the action instead of a long flat in front of it like the Boyd’s. Wish I could check one out and check the fit on it to me.

Yesterday I tested at 20 rear, 40 front. I think that's where I'll leave it. She's right on when I do my part. It's a balmy 2° currently, I'm going to go pick up a new 223 I ordered, load up some more 69s for the 22-250 and see if I can't sneak in a few rounds between a Christmas concert for the oldest and sunset at 330. Gotta love it.
