I've got 2,200+ rounds down the pipe (factory barrel) and it seems like my groups are opening up. Maybe it's me but 0.25 moa groups are rare now, 0.50 is more common with an occasional (maddeningly) 1.0 -1.2 moa. All 5 shot groups from 100 to 500 yards. I haven't had the barrel scoped yet but that's next.
My question is - how much should I expect it to cost to replace the barrel? I'd like to have it replaced with a top of the line barrel (Bartlein, Krieger....), installed complete with my existing brake in heavy or medium Palma contour.

Those barrels will run you upwards of $500 give or take. The Criterion Match grade barrels I run on mine are around the $300-350 range.

I have no idea on the gunsmith price.... I just read that you want to have your existing brake put on the new barrel.

So that usually means ... you have to buy your Krieger or Bartlein, then when you get it, you have to have a Smith thread your barrel and install your brake. I know that in Oregon I contacted a local smith to see what he would charge to thread my barrel and install a directional brake. Total cost was $240 including the purchase of the brake.

If you're anywhere near me, then it's probably close in price. Roughly $750 for barrel and brake install. Might be a little less since you already have your brake.

Update: I stand corrected on the price for a Krieger & Bartlein.... I see some listed for $325.00- $365.00 when I google search.
