Cabela's 12FV barrel shank size?

Does anyone know if my Cabela's 12FV in 308 that I haven't received yet comes in small or large shank? Are all new Savages large shank now?

Small shank.

I too thought model 12's are large shank because I own several (not Cabela's) which are indeed large shank, but apparently not all of them are. I nearly ordered the wrong barrel for mine before I did some research. I can say that my new small shank barrel screws onto my Calela's 12fv action.

I can confirm my Cabelas 12FV is also a small shank.

Thanks to you both. I intend on installing a 24" heavy sporter barrel for hunting on this rifle.
