I am new to this site and have a new rifle it is a 10T-SR in .308 from cabelas haven't shot it yet. Trying to figure out what scope to put on it for around $300.00 any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

Welcome from northeast.georgia Lot of stores now have scopes mounted on gun actions, might look there. Academy has them. My personal scopes have been been bushnell model 3200 or 4200. Sure you will get a lot of different opinions, and they all will be good. Tommy

What do you plan to use the rifle for? Hunting or general plinking?

That would help us figure out what to recommend for you as "purpose" has a lot to do with selection of optics.
