I see that the limited run version has a stainless barrel. Is that the only difference?

Appears to be so. Distributors and big-box stores will typically order special runs that are just slightly different than the cataloged model just so they can say they have something to sell that no one else does.

The model 10 GRS stainless limited run was sent out to 3 dealers according to Savage. The Model 16 ad was a typo. They are all gone but The dealer is trying to get them build more. Sadly, their focus is on building cheap rifles.
