Used my factory screw something is off if it is not working I would suspect there is another problem the stock, it is made to be used with factory action screws.

Did some messing with it last night and got it figured out had to pound that escutcheon in a little and put the front screw in first then the trigger bolt and we were good to go. Only thing i dont like is the mag it does not come out very easy might just leave it in and not try to remove it.

Pain in the ass to top load the axis mag. I would get a single shot ramp and leave it in if it's for the range or work on the mag IMO.

The old setup used to occasionally need some finesse too, now that I think about it. The latch plate could get hung up on splinters in its groove and the escutcheon (the plastic ones anyway) wouldn't always seat fully due to chips or dust in its inletting. On the bright side for the new style plastic piece, the fact that it's so loose that it falls out of the stock means it's easy to clean out any offending bits that could cause problems.
