Questions about pre-67 Savage rifles

I’m looking for any and all info on pre-67 Savage model 110 actions, the first generation models, 1958-1967 production models. I have a .300 win mag and I’m planning on putting a pre fit barrel and new bolt on it to update the bolt head and for economic reasons. I know there are a few differences, thus the new bolt with the new barrel.

Along with a new bolt, you'll also have to find an old style (but post-67) mag box and follower. The pre-67 has the standing ejector built into the mag box.

You might be money ahead to sell the 300win and get a newer rifle in the caliber you want.
