savage/revalation 340 .222

hey guys just put one on layaway, a revalation 340 in .222 for 230.00 bucks its about 90 % .well its not a 340 but it looks like one what do you guys think about this model good deal or not. thanks for your input james.

Good buy, just don't try to turn it into something it isn't (i.e. bedding, trigger work, etc. etc.) as there isn't much you can do other than mess it up. Enjoy it as the nice, simple, accurate gun it already is.

it is a 340 in all but name. Revelation was a trade name for western auto. they contracted guns from savage.

i thought it was a good catch to it is just ganna be a plinker for my 10yr old daughter,i am gonna leave it with open sites think she will like, mayby she will leave my 22-250 alone ;D ;D thanks for replies james

if it has a couple screw holes taped on the left side, they made a peep that bolted on.
