I recently purchased my first centerfire rifle, a left-handed Savage 10 Predator Hunter in .223 REM. Next up is to put a scope on it. I'm "borrowing" a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 with the Accu-Range reticle off of my Ruger K77/22 VBZ target/varmint rifle, but I need another scope so I can shoot both of these fine rifles. I found a Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5-14x40 that has me interested. Does anyone have any thoughts on this scope, or should I be looking at something else? Thanks!

Good scope for the price you should be just fine with it
scope issues are simple in my opinion buy the best glass you can afford
I had a Simmons whitetail classic on my 250 sav worked flawless for 10 years still works would I buy another one no not today
I have a prostaff on my 7-08 have not hunted with it yet but it is bright, clear and I would buy another one
I have a weaver super slam that I got on sale great scope would I buy another one well at sale price yes at full price no full price I would just buy a leupold V111
same token would I spend 1200 on. V6 no I would and did send 1400 on a Swarovski
so other then the Simmons ( because I think I just got lucky with that on ) I would buy and use any 1 of them again
i also have redfield on my daughters rifle and it is also a good scope
