Savage LA magazine box

I am converting my savage 110 .243 to .284 Win. I was wondering if anyone had any experience milling the bottom of the action to fit a LA magazine box, and if anyone had a LA magazine box they would be willing to part with?

I am converting my savage 110 .243 to .284 Win. I was wondering if anyone had any experience milling the bottom of the action to fit a LA magazine box, and if anyone had a LA magazine box they would be willing to part with?My advice is to sell your current gun, and just buy a new action to build off of.

If you are going to be doing any milling, I would just mill it so that you can run a new center feed long action magazine.

You can get a centerfeed MAG box and follower just by buying a detachable magazine and popping off the cheap plastic bottom.
