When the "big one" hit in 1989 I was in my shop located in Fremont, right behind what is now the Tesla plant. The building I was in is now gone, and a BART station/tracks is in its place. Grew up on Peninsula, just a few miles south of SFO, Dad worked for Pan AM. Used to hunt in Foster City before it was built up, and in the bay for ducks. Fished most weekends too. Just an outdoor kind of guy all my life.
