New to this forum but have over 15 years exp. with Savage FP10 rifles. Financial hardships caused me to sell off most of my collection but after I regrouped a bit ago I'm back in it again. I'm currently building a nice target rifle with a Savage VT11 .308. I'm rebarrelling to .223, adding a Harris short bipod, Leupold VX2 6-18 x40mm high turret scope with Ken Farrell mount and rings and a modifed/forearm enhanced stock.
The last FP10 was in that configuration and shot dime sized groups at 100 yards with 69 gr. Sierra HPBT bullets , 24 gr. H335 powder in a Win case using CCI primers.
Anyways I like the Savage rifles and also a big fan of SA M14s and 1911s.
