I got my first Savage about 15 years ago because Im left handed and wanted a left handed rifle. It's a model 111 in .270 win and it's still my go to rifle for antelope, bear, deer, elk, and the occasional steel sillouette match.
I also have a left handed model 116 in 7mm, and a LH model 16 in 325wsm. Both have less than 20 rounds through them because I prefer the 270
