I just picked up a Model 10 SBA in 6.5 (dicks exclusive) with a threaded barrel, I'd like to get a brake on it. Does anyone make a 5/8-24 brake with a .830" O.D. to match up to the O.D. of my barrel? I looked around but i can only find tapered brakes.

I like the look of a brake that is slightly bigger in circumference than the muzzle of the barrel.

I use a MBM self timing brake.
Works very well and installed easily.

If you check out Kahntrol Solutions you won't be unhappy! I believe the 3gun brake matches up to that barrel perfectly! I have not experienced a better brake to date! I've been running the CWES Hexmod for the last year!

I have a Kahntrol brake (clamp-on on a 1" muzzle) and it's the best brake I've ever owned and used. It gets rid of most of the recoil on a 300winmag but it also give the biggest concussion blast. Not kidding when I say my 17 lb 300winmag target rifle's recoil feels the same as 5.56 AR-15.

Harrell's http://harrellsprec.com/index.php/products/muzzle-brakes

Muzzle brakes all look like a blob on the end of your barrel. Harrell's work, don't have to be indexed and the price is right. Using a bolt the right size I made a jig and used my drill press and a file to blend it to my barrel diameter.

Thanks guys, great looking brakes, most likely going with a MBM 4 port.

Watch his video comparisons.
Because of them I went with his three port on my 260.

I bought a Harrels for my .300 win mag . I couldn't believe the difference, and the customer service and price were excellent.

Had a very good experience with Harrels also.

Did you go with a 4 port or a radial port?

I went with the radial.

Ok so I went with a Harrell's radial brake. It came in kinda rough but I have a lathe at work and I was able to turn it down to size and bore it to the correct specs, I then finished it with a light bead blast. I'm happy with the results.

Here is the pic, it's in a Bell and Carlson stock. Just deciding on a scope now.

I shoot prone on dirt a lot.
Radial doesn’t work for me.
Looks good though.

It’s not about being a stud.
Maintaining a position and spotting your own hits really are great attributes to have.
