5 rd capacity possible?

Hello folks, Mainly a reader and not a poster here. My question is this is there any way at all to get the magazine either DB or internal to hold 5 rds of 308? I remember hearing some older guys at our matches tell of thinning the follower and shimming up the action a touch to get 5 to fit in the Rem 700 . If an after market stock with more meat below the magazine could be used could you make the mag well deeper? Just thinking out loud on Ideas. One last question is it possible to load the said magazine with stripper clip if a guide was fabricated and installed. Just trying to figure out my options on a new rifle for shooting Highpower and position shooting matches without going with a detachable mag. setup as top loading is what I'm used to and just as fast for me (and cheaper)

Get an Acme detachable magazine in a 5 round set up. Problem fixed.
