anyone have experience with these rounds? I'm curious about their accuracy mainly and also their effectiveness on groundhogs. I'm shooting a savage edge with a bushnell banner 6-18x50. Any feedback would be appreciated!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170818/792e4a8e8c9ba7ff5987bccf9aa196c7.jpg

Groundhogs are pretty darn tough I've seen them walk away from some pretty mean hits the 223 is a pretty flat fast straight ground but I don't know if you're far enough away it might just sting

All the areas I have access to hunt the shots will be 300 and under mainly.

I've never seen what a 223 would do to a ground hog but I did see my brother hit one in the shoulder with a .44 mag at about 50 yards and it rolled him over and he got up and hobbled off... they are tuff as nails.

I can't say I'm surprised that a groundhog walked away from any pistol caliber. With that being said my question still remains. Does anyone have any experience with the umc .223 45 grain jacketed hollow points? What kind of groups have people had with these rounds?
