Is that the scope that comes with it? Is that how much you paid for it?

I'm confident that it will shoot well. It appears to be an out-of-the-box Axis II XP Hardwood with some lasering on the stock. The picture even seems to show the same cheap, two-piece mount and rings that I always just throw away.

That said, $1200 buys a lot of gun these days: much more than is included in the rifle you ordered. Considering an Axis II XP Hardwood runs $480 (ignoring the $50 rebate), American Legacy Firearms wants me to believe their laser woodburning is worth $720. I certainly hope it's worth it to you, but it definitely isn't something I'd pay anything for. Maybe if it was my own, custom artwork, or if it was done by hand by a skilled craftsman, or if the animals weren't only slightly more realistic than Garfield, or if there were some sort of checkering on the grip...maybe I might pay something but that? No.

I'm reminded of my first thread (http://www.savageshooters.com/showthread.php?24964-A-700-Edge). Maybe that was an American Legacy Firearms original as well!
