Hey y'all. Glad to be a part of the crowd. Joined looking for some info and firsthand knowledge with a rifle or two that I'm looking at. Y'all seem to know a thing or two about these things. Looking at getting a Savage 10 FCP 5-R and threaded barrel on 308 Win (with or without HS precision stock). I'm also looking at a Remington 700 with 5-R rifling in 308 Win. Will be used primarily for hunting all over the country and target shooting at distance. Which would fit my needs best? I want the best of the best but my wallet doesn't. Not sure how this works, but which would be the best out of the box shooter?
