I have a Marlin 25mn rifle (1972) when shooting win. 34gr jhp my groups were 1/2" at 50 yds. Then I tried Rem. 33gr. jhp at same range and now get 3/8". The gun sure loves that ammo. I ended up buying a brick of ammo so i'll have plenty to hunt with. I like to head shoot rabbits, squirrel, yotes, and pats. I'll be passing down the rifle to grandkids when the time comes. Well happy shooting to all.

Sounds like you got a good one. I recently sold my 93r FSS due to accuracy issues. Tried 4-5 different loads/brands and couldn't come up with answer. After searching the accuracy of the 22 mag, I found I was not alone. Most 22 mag ammo is not match quality and a luck of the draw found you.

well WV, maybe I got lucky with a good one. Prior owner was lousy at cleaning barrel. I went through about 6 bore brushes to get barrel clean then used jewelers rouge to final polish the barrel. I've been happy ever since. Accurcy will open up after 12-15 shots then It's bore-snake time until I can get home to clean it. Even 1/2" is not bad, but man, these tiny groups is great. Happy shooting to all.

My Savage 93 really like the CCI green ammo. I have popped quite a few ground squirrels at 100yds with this stuff.

reading your reply's just proves that every gun is different and your rifle will tell you what it likes to shoot. One ammo doesn't fit all. Only range time will tell. Spring is around the corner, punching paper is soon, whoopee.
