My Finnish M28/76. It is a semi-relic with a receiver dated 1906. That rifle can f-in shoot. It likes Sierra .308 175 Mk's on top of 4895. Tried the 200 Mk's, it reminded me real fast how hard those things can really kick. The diopter sights are a hoot too. I think I like them better than scopes. I like my PSL too. And my other Nagants, oh, and my Marlin 917v, and my...(have so many). I don't think I really have a favorite, I love them all. But the Finn has to be the top- Non Savage.

p.s.- I think I have the most fun with my slingshot. Can't hit crap with it but it is fun.

I only own one non-Savage centerfire. Its a 95% condition, 1960 made, Remington 742 Woodsmaster in 30-06. Checkerd Steel butt-plate, light weight, and kicks like a mule. Still wears the original Weaver K2.5 in Weaver mounts. Sounds nice, but horrible trigger, and I have never gotten better than "minute of broad side of a barn" with it. It was my first centerfire rifle and will always be kinda special because it got me started, and somehow made it through my late-teens and early-twenties without hardly a scratch before I just put it up.

As far as rimfire goes, i would say my Mossberg 144-LS with original Lyman Peep Sights and my Remington 510 Target Master are closely tied. Both have been 1/2 MOA with decent ammo.

Rem 700LH BDL (30-06) for sure. It's my first Lefty and it was my first new rifle. Kids were little, money was tight, scrimped and saved for it. I've had it over 20 years now, it doesn't owe me a thing.

My favorite (and only) non-Savage centerfire rifle is a Remmy 700 in .308 Win. Favorite rimfire rifle is a CZ 452.

Tough call:

527 CZ Hornet (most accurate out of the box rifle I owned till I got my first FV in .223)
Marlin 45-70 SS Guide Gun (unported)- Ya gotta love it.
M1-Garand - a man HAS to own a Garand.
Model 700 Mountain Rifle in 260 Rem in blue steel and walnut with the "skinny barrel"
Ruger #1 in 22-250 with bipod and a LONG 5-15 x 50 bushnell scope.

I still spend most time now with my LRPV in 6BR and my 12 FV set up as a switch barrel (.223 and 260 Rem 8 twist) rc

It's a toss up for me. For fun my Tikka T3 tactical in.223 with a 8 twist 20 inch barrel. For survival the M1 Garand is the only tool I'll need, so it get the nod if the poo hits the fan.

I have to say that the Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan in 375 Ruger is actually my favorite rife out of any. It's the one gun that I can always count on to get the job done. It's a serious caliber that will do anything I could possibly want. It's also the only non Savage centerfire rifle that I own ;D.

This is about the only photo I have of it.

The short 20" barrel makes it handy to carry around. The VX3 2.5-8x scope is mounted in Warne QR rings and the express sigts are zeroed at 100 yard in case anything goes wrong. It shoots MOA out to 300 yards, which is as far as I plan to shoot this gun (not that it can't go farther, I just have better guns for that sort of thing). And it's taken a beating without ever missing a beat. The same day that this picture was taken, I slid 200 feet down a rock scree while following the mountain goat that left that tuft of white fur. I scratched up the stock and dented the scope pretty good, but it never changed zero.

Darn I thought that I had a non Savage favorite but darned if this one wasn't made by Savage.

Lee Enfield N04 Mk1* S. This was my first center fire rifle given to me by my dad when I turned 16. As you can see my youngest likes it. ;D

Used to be a big Ruger fan untill I discovered Savage and still have a couple but the go to walk about varminter/truck gun is a CZ 527 American. Between the clip, trigger and accuracy it very hard to beat!

Its gotta be one of my evil black rifles. Probably the LR .308 with a Chip McCormick trigger and a Vortex 6-24x50 mil dot. The M&P 15 carbine with a Leupold mark AR 1-4 is a lot of fun too.

Simple... My Springfield 03A3. If they all had to go away..... it's the only one I'd keep.
