Im Jeff, and I shoot things for fun. Uncle Sam knows what I look like and where I live so if you want that kind of info you can ask him. Bought my first savage as a young dumb kid about 12 years ago, a model 12 in stainless with a laminate stock in 22-250 and its been a phenomenal performer from the word go. Sadly, as a first real centerfire rifle purchase, it took me many years to truly appreciate.
But now my head is back to where it should be and im in the process of building a second savage, a 111 action with a criterion barrel chambered in 260 Rem match (longer freebore). This will rest on a chassis and be topped with an optic that only works when most others dont. Current plan is to finish this one then build another for use when pupils are smaller. Usual prey is bacon but when that is scarce it will be central Texas opossum, skunk, rabbit, coyote, and just about anything else not illegal at that moment.
SUPER excited about the current build though, by all accounts it will be a **** fine shooter out past 1000 yards. I do handload since my walk and stalk pig rifle is an ar10 with a 12.5 inch barrel, so while this build is progressing I'm processing brass six ways from Sunday. So anyway, yall have now read my intro and where besties, right?
