I bought a McMillan stock from gunstox.com. They are a great deal, but they aren't returnable. Although it wasn't stated as such at the time I think this particular stock was a mistake. It has the centerfeed bolt spacing with the longer blind magazine box of the staggerfeed rifles. I put some epoxy putty in the mag well to shrink it, but apparently I didn't shrink it enough because the magazine and spring will not stay down in the box. I think I just want to epoxy the box into the mag well. I don't see much downside. I guess if the follower spring fails at some point in the future I'm in trouble, but that seems very unlikely. What problems might occur if I glue the mag box into the stock?
