I'm on the verge of buying this rifle but before I do was wondering if anyone who has one could give me a performance update.

I'll second that... I'm a couple weeks out on pulling the trigger on the same rifle.

My shooting buddy has one of these, and it has impressed me! I shoot a target action with 28" Shilen and velocitys between the two are equal over chrono. The F class is probably slightly more accurate than my build, and will consistently take out golf balls at 400 yds. He shot a 5 shot 300 yd. group at .640" last time we were out. Took quite a bit of cleaning to break the Savage barrel in, but it is a shooter now. Guns have a good stock, rides the bags good, and looks super. A bedded f class 6br won a thousand yard shoot at our gun club in August with a five shot group of 4.25" at 1000 yards.

Try N540 with A-maxes and BR primers. In our guns, the 540 gives superior velocities without losing the accuracy of standby Varget loads, and the A maxes are easier to tune than VLDs. Nosler 105 CC's also work well, but are hard to find. Good luck
