My cousin has a very odd FCP in .308. It is a round back accutrigger short action, but when we pulled it out of the Tupperware stock it has the blind mag attached to the action, and 4.27" screw spacing. Anyone see this before? Mid changes or?

Yep. I have model 12's like that. Savage is famous for that over the years. theyy use up odd parts while transitioning to newer models/designs.

Not uncommon at all. Savage switched to the round back on the receiver in 2003 when they introduced the AccuTrigger. The 4.40" S/A screw spacing and center-feed magazines didn't come along until late 2005/early 2006 when Savage introduced the M14/114 Classics. As such, everything made from 2003-late 2005 has the 4.27" spacing, round-top receiver and stagger-feed magazine.

Also, it's not an FCP if it has a blind magazine. "C" is the designation for a detachable magazine. Back then they were just called 10/110 FP's.
