I have been shooting my model 10 at 600y using 175 gr Sierra BTHP Match, with 41.0 gr of IMR 8208XBR, thinking of using the 168 gr. Sierra BTHP Match, any of you guys have some loads I can try, I like the 8208, but also have Varget and Rel. 15 on hand. P.S. I also have a Model 12 BVSS that I plan on using for 600y, just picked it up couldn't resist the $600 price tag used. Thanks

My 10T likes IMR4064 with the 168 Sierra or Nosler, it turned out better than my old standby IMR4895. Given what you have on hand, I'd give both Varget and Rl15 a try, too.

Thanks for the input, everything I have been reading about seems Rel -15 and Varget seem to be the go to powders.

Was using 4064 but once I tried varget, never went back. I shoot 178 ELD-X. If you have a 22+ inch barrel, try varget. I use 8208 in my short barrel (12.5 inch) AR due to faster burning powder.

Do a OCW test from 43 to 45 gr of Varget with 168smk in Winchester or Lapua brass, BR-2 or cci200 primer, in 0.3 or 0.4 gr increments.
43.5 and 44.7 are close to the sweet spots.

With LC brass start at 41.5 and work up to 44 gr of Varget.

I've tried IMR 4064 but got inconsistent results. Ended up with Varget.

Savage Model 10P, 20" barrel, 10:1.

Sierra Match King 168, 44.2 grains of Varget, Federal case, Federal 210M primers. Good enough to .5 moa at 100 yards. Going to experiment with Winchester brass.
